Introduction: Xenostalker

Post by Xenostalker on Mon Oct 05, 2009 7:41 pm

Hello;

My name is Steve.

I have been playing Warcraft and modding maps ever since the release of Warcraft III: RoC. I have also been apart of the Warhammer 40k universe in the past, building a Dark Angles and Tau army, and love it all. The 40k AoS is most likely the greatest new AoS map I have played in a long time. From AotZ to AoM to DotA, it is hard to pump out a decent AoS that will spawn a growing community. Props for having your early success cheers (I think). I have only fairly played the map, 3 heroes I think, and I am already hooked. The items are a bit complex to figure out at first, but it is easy to learn after a few practice rounds.

About my Warcraft 'Career': I lead a new mapping community: Clan Crft (clan MapCraft; http://www.mapcraft.tk). Prior to Crft, I led Clan LoM ( http://www.clanlomm.co.cc) as a shaman and the ex-creator but split due to a constant pummel of drama and procrastinated speculations of releasing a decent, high-quality map. Thus, I have created a new community with a forum of about 100 new posts, and would like to see some of you there perhaps (not my intention to steal members) to expand a genuine modding center. Though ill-experience with hardcore coding, I do posses some basic concept artist techniques ( http://www.xenostalker.daportfolio.com), as well as the basic skill needed to create an intermediate map in World Editor. Anyways - I really enjoy this new AoS I happened to stumble upon and hope to see it dwelling in the custom games list some more!

My community isn't as successful, and most likely won't be, so you have nothing to worry about What a Face

Thanks for the greetings, though.

Welcome. ^^ I hope you enjoy your stay here.

We're all trying to make the map better, but we just lack enough coders to really speed it up. Also, we've been tied up in hero design, which is necessary, but really time consuming compared to other things we could have been doing, like creating more items and improving the overall gameplay.

Anyways, your art is pretty fine. Razz Best of luck with your community, too!

Psst, Xeno. Your forum needs a general discussion/just talk here forum. Razz

It seems really business oriented, but there's nowhere for people to introduce themselves. ^^;

I do like what I see there, though.

oh, and as were on the subject of your forum (i havnt checked in a while) but it would be a good idea to have one *section* per map, not one thread

edit: and i agree. it looks great, but does need a general chat forum

My forum had a major re-modeling recently.

And maps only receive their personal forum category if they are worthy. Right now the only worthy project is our clan project (which is an AoS!)

If anyone wants to help suggest things for our AoS feel free to read the overview and get posting.
