[Incomplete] Torquemada Coteaz - High Inquisitor

Torquemada Coteaz

Story:
Although Coteaz's early years are a mystery, his record within the Ordo Malleus tells the tale of a man driven solely on a fanatical desire to serve the Emperor. A zealot- unshakeable, uncompromising, and uncorruptable. Coteaz earned his fame from outing former Inquisitor Laredian, High Protector of Formosa. He proved infront of an entire concave of Inquisitors that Laredian had been using daemonhosts and other forbidden arts in his fight against the Warp. After personally executing Laredian and launching his ashes into the heart of a star, Coteaz was granted the title of High Protector of Formosa and Lord Inquisitor. He is a humorless servant of the Imperium, and, in his eyes, none are above suspicion. None.

Glovodan Eagle [Innate - Summon]
"Twin-headed psyber-eagle gifted to Coteaz by the Adeptus Mechanicus."

Summons the Glovodan Eagle (See Below) to fight alongside Coteaz.

Summon Max: 1
Mana Cost: 0
Cooldown: 60 Seconds

Grimoire of True Names [Cast - Channel]
"Book inscribed with the true names of daemons, giving the wielder a measure of control over them."

Forces single target to run towards Coteaz for 2/3/4/5 seconds, or until within melee range.
Spell ends when target reaches Coteaz, or time runs out.
Coteaz is unable to move, attack or cast while reading from the book (channeling).

Extremis Diabolus [Cast]
"You are Mankind's enemy, an abomination in the eyes of the Emperor. And you will be hunted as such."

Targetted unit within 500/550/600/650 aquires the "Extremis Diabolus" aura until death.
Aura grants enemies of the targetted unit within 200/300/350/450 AoE +6/9/12/15% to IAS / dmg.
Gain vision of targetted unit for 20 seconds, and 5 seconds afterwards recurring every minute.

Malleus Remit [Cast - Channel]
"Under punishment of death, by the power of the Holy Edict, no servant of the Emperor shall deny my call."

Teleports a selected ally unit/hero from anywhere on the map to Coteaz's position.

Channel Time: 5/4.5/4/3 Seconds
Mana Cost: 175/200/225/250
Cooldown: 90 Seconds

Daemonhammer [Ultimate - Passive]
"Crafted to destroy Warpspawn, the Daemonhammer is a fearsome weapon in the hands of an Inquisitor."

+20/35/50 dmg. 10/15/25% to Mana Burn for 5/10/15% Max Mana on hit. 20% Cleave, 100/150/200 AoE.

LvL 1; Flying, Piercing Attack. LvL 3; True Sight, 300 AoE. LvL 6; Chaos Attack.
HP / dmg / Armor increase slightly each time Innate is leveled.

Sounds cool, might want to trade the hammer and the book. have hammer increase dmg, and dmg mana. For the book, i have no idea. Ungents of warding can be based of Grey Knights armor thing, making it dmg something (i'd suggest mana, but thats already used) have icon add an armor bonus. The eagle maybe make it regen mana and follow you around, but cant attack.

(These are my thoughts, but if you add then in differently, well hes your char.)

im liking where hes going
is the eagle going to be offensive or supportive?
the duration on the book is prolly too long... but that depends on range. (think of it as a better stun)
ult is good (burns ~3.5% max mana per hit, statistically)

my only issue is that his theme might be too similar to the grey knight (theme, not role/skills) but thats not a huge issue

Eagle is going to be offensive. He isn't a psyker, so it isn't like a Familiar.

And, the reason their theme is the same is because they're both part of the same organisation- the Ordo Malleus. The daemonhunters. Grey Knights serve the Inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus, such as Coteaz.

I'm kind of stuck on "Ungents of Warding" and "Icon of the Just".. I'm thinking about replacing "Icon" with ...

Faith in Suspicion [Passive - Aura]
"Do you serve the God Emperor upon the Golden Throne of Holy Terra? Prove it."

The presence of Inquisitor Coteaz drives the faithful around him to fight harder than before.

IAS/dmg boost and dmg reduc ... but it's been done about 20 times before.
Or maybe every time he kills an enemy allies in AoE get some kind of boost, heroes giving bigger boosts than creeps.

Anyone got any ideas?

As for "Ungents", I was thinking like an armor boost until death... Just need something else to make it less bland.

Ooh, I like these new icons.

The hero looks good to me too.

Could the innate info (in-game) mention the bird gets new skills at 3 and 6?

I have to say, this hero will make for a fun and surprisingly deadly support hero.
Hide in the woods... TP followed by either diabolus then grimoire, or just the grimoire: Instant gank!

I also really like how depending how you level him, he can be a great hero killer, or a strong support char.


Funny... I hadn't really quite liked him until I started thinking about how he is going to play, and now I can't wait to try him!

So what if Extremis Diabolus was a group slow. It could not be a till death thing but in combo with Grimoire could prove to work well. and it also would make pushing hard with creeps slowed although not really fitting to the fluff.

Or another idea for Extremis could be that it reveals location to enemies for like 3 min. This would make that player hunted maybe even a small move speed bonus within range.

hmm, looking at the numbers on diabolus... it is a bit weak, and i support a vision effect on them (but not for 3 mins Razz more like 1... or 30 seconds)

Looks good so far. Needs stats and some mana costs/cooldowns, but that's usually a good thing to need.

For the Extremis Aura, shall I assume only 1 can be active at any one time or how will it work, exactly?

The Eagle needs values as well.
