Re: More choices on hireables.
Heres some more ideas to throw into the fray:
Chaos Soul Grinder:
(Single unit)
Attack #1: 49-61 normal attack. (Melee)
Attack #2: 101-110 siege attack. (Ranged).
2000 hp with 11 fortified armour.
Costs 1700 gold and 10 honour/extra 10 honour bonus gives the Soul Grinder a fairly high cleave+splash for both attacks.
Note the siege attack is quite slow, say 1 shot every two seconds.
==========
Chaos Space Marines
Limit of 1/2/3
19-26/21-34/33-41 piercing damage.
450/600 hp with 3/6/9 heavy armour.
Costs 800 gold and 5 honour, extra 2/4/6 honour gives the listed bonuses, with a passive invisibility ability, and a passive "Heavy Bolter" ability that gives each second attack a 0.01 ministun of 10 damage.
==========
Eldar Warp Spiders
Limit of 1/2/3
33-42 piercing damage.
600 hp with 5 heavy armour.
Ability: Warp Teleportation.
The Warp Spider squad teleports to the back/left/right side and continues attacking with 20/40/60% increased attack and movement speed, and a armour break orb of 4/5/6.
Costs 1000 gold and 7 honour. An honour bonus of 3/4/5 gives the selected bonuses.
Thats my piece for now, and damn thee grass for snatching that imperium hireable idea from right under my fingers
*Edit* again I think that Karskin idea should be shoved in the game ASAP if you can.

Re: More choices on hireables.
Err, there are no longer squads. Hireables will be limited to a group of 1-3, with certain units, like the Imperial Guard, having more.
That's why I asked you to look into the hireables. You need to take a squad of 8 and make it as effective as a squad of 3 without it being OP early and just plain bad late.
Abilities, stats, all are at your disposal, but it will require some thought.

Re: More choices on hireables.
Hmm kk well heres the verdict:
Hireables (infantry) are in a different sub tavern.
Hireables (Big things) are in another.
Lets see what will happen.

Re: More choices on hireables.
Also what is the deal with titans mode? Or could we get titan-tier hireables into a sub-elite tavern? Such as Skyray Gunships or Chaos Predators? Or... Several taverns with each housing different tiered hireables for early, middle, and late game. That way even the shitty feeders *could* have a chance of getting their builds farmed up with powerfull units that give extra experience and gold.. ?

Re: More choices on hireables.
titans, for sure, are not going to be hireables.
(unless titan's mode makes titans hireables instead of a lane spawn.. i dont know how titan mode will pan out atm)
but titans wont be hireables in the regular game.
vehicles are options, but should cost significantly more, and have an honor requirement

Re: More choices on hireables.
And a time cap, say only one can be spawned by each side every five minutes to stop crazy farmers spamming tough units.

Re: More choices on hireables.
I kinda feel like hireables should be the support groups instead of elites... Elites are the heros, not the hires. It should be things like devastators and havocs

Re: More choices on hireables.
Point, but a hero cant be pushing all game like creeps, he needs to move around and gank, going back to fount etc. That is why we have elite hireables to take the place of the hero temporarily.

Re: More choices on hireables.
I like these so far... Why not toy with some other things, For example:
Necron Pariahs: Same ability as the necrons posted above, but cripple the target on the hit, or drain mana... They were made out of untouchables so it makes sense...
Vanguard Veterans: Elite assault marine hireables, make half of them CC and hit really hard, and give say 1 in five something like a flamer, or a melta gun?

Re: More choices on hireables.
To me, you should have hireables that allow you to if you are willing to pay a massive cost, send out a wave a certain kind of hero just wont rape easily. For example, If you have a super high powered ranged guy, have guys that are fast and hit hard, and can take alot of hits. For a melee guy, have guys that slow/stun/cripple guys at range. For casters have guys like Witch Hunters or something to burn mana or be immune to spells/abilities

Re: More choices on hireables.
Make Assassins. Give up honor to hire assassins to target an enemy hero. Since it would be considered not honorable to hire assassins, you lose an honor or two. Then the hero gets jumped by some assassins.
My ideas are pro. IMPLEMENT IT. NOW!
