I actually have a suggestion for the Mistress of Death. Instead of a spirit model, maybe use a succubus, and give her melee range. They seem to have more in common with wytches anyways, especially where they wear only a few articles of clothing. Of course, anything not from WC3 is also something to be considered for models too.

Seeing as how Imperial Guard doesn't have Chapters, use Drop Pods or call in Orbital Bombardments...

Anyway, Grass, since when have the Dark Eldar not been daemonic? They worship Chaos (or, atleast Slaanesh). Plus look at their units (DoW or TT), look pretty demonic to me. Twisted little elf wannabes.

Well, maybe we should make him look more the part, he looks more like an imp cuard commander than a chapter master.

IG wear funny little hats and carapace armor (if they're high ranking enough). That model is wearing Astartes power armor.

Except he's using a sword and not an axe.

Re: New models for heros

In DoW:SS they summon packs of daemon beasts. Chaos. Their relationship with Slaanesh is like ancient Greek's relationship with Hades. You may not like him/her, but they're there and they will consume your soul eventually. Entire Dark Eldar culture revoles around the consuming of souls to extend their lives and keep them from being devoured by Slaanesh. Not to mention it was the Pleasure Cults before the Fall that gave birth to Slaanesh (the Eldar in the cults would become the Dark Eldar). Even if they don't worship Chaos they're irreversibly tainted by it.

Those packs of deamon beast are beast from the warp. although much of chaos resides there it is not the only thing there.

And Dark Eldar do not consume souls to live their life spans are just like the Eldar. They also did not cause the birth of Slaanesh all the Eldar did with their wars. If your going to correct you must correct with true statements. It may be that DOW is what is telling you these things but they do not match codex lore/fluff.

"Slaanesh, the Dark Prince, was given life by the hubris and decadence of the ancient Eldar race. At the height of their power, as their empire reached itz zenith, the Eldar became lost in their own heightened senses and consciousness. With highly advanced technology, the Eldar did not need to labor or wage war, and instead dedicated their lives to whatever idlep ursuits took their fancy. Over several generations this indolence grew and grew, while in the Immaterium a new Warp Power stirred. Created by this growing indulgence and excess, the first motes of Slaanesh began to coalese." - Chaos Daemons Codex.

"Eventually the Eldar civilisation devolved into little more than pleasure cults, wholly dedicated to every act of physical, mental and spiritual fulfilment. The Fall of the Eldar was signaled by the birth-scream of Slaanesh that flowed across the Warp, signalling the Prince of Pleasure's arrival in the Realm of Chaos." - Chaos Daemons Codex.

"Rampant and hungry, Slaanesh devoured the minds of the Eldar, and across the galaxy the race was almost wiped out. Only a relative few Eldar survived Slaanesh's birth-feast; the youngest who were least touched by the depravity of their race; and a handful of lucky individuals who somehow remained hidden from Slaanesh's hungry gaze. Most of these survivors have become sworn enemies of the Dark Prince, and yet a few of them formed isolated cabals that still behave as their ancestors did, perversely following the way of excess." - Chaos Daemons Codex.

"The Dark Eldar are inured to terror and death, taking a positive delight in the infliction of pain and misery. Yet there is something that fills their race with an utter dread, driving them onto ever more despicable acts of wanton bloodshed and torture; the Great Enemy; the One Who Thirsts. What relationship between the Great Enemy and the Dark Eldar is, it is impossible to say. although the Dark Eldar revel in their own wickedness and evil, there is a desperation about them: an all-consuming horror that forces them to kill and maim each other, to fall upon their prey without mercy, as if their very survival depended upon the extremity of the grievious deeds they perform." - Dark Eldar Codex.

"Many die, and when one of the Masters dies, others quickly gather to feed upon the escaping soul. They fight each other, bite and claw if they have no weapons, to partake of that precious essence." - Dark Eldar Codex.

I didn't say the Dark Eldar created Slaanesh, I said the Eldar in the Pleasure Cults created Slaanesh and would become the Dark Eldar. Read much? Anyway, the Dark Eldar do not possess the Waystones that Eldar do to protect their souls from being devoured by Slaanesh during life, and ultimatley upon their death. To extend their own lives and keep themselves out of Slaanesh's realm, they devour the souls of those they capture (torturing and such do extract every delicious ounce). It's called "The Thirst", Slaanesh feeds off the souls of those who created him- the Dark Eldar replenish their own souls with those of their prey(thus extending their lives, take for example Asdrubael Vect, who has lived over 10,000 years). So, I'll leave you with an "OWNT", and a good night.

The whole Dark Eldar philosophy boils down to "Better you than me." They use Chaos to their own ends yes, but they do not worship chaos. But, just even using it influences you in ways unimaginable. What I find funny is that if the Dark Eldar just died out, then Slaanesh would be SEVERELY weakened, s/he might not even be a chaos god anymore.
