link where you can see all the stuff im thinking about for the terminator.

Scince terminaters are one of the strongest combatant of the marines, I was thinking of making a hero Assault Terminator until a name is made.

You can customize him to the way you want him and can change around what he uses in what situations.

I don't have a full thought out of list details but heres the sketch.

Innate ability-
Drop Pod.
2 second cast time, drops a pod of space marine troops at the target location (1 ranged 2 meele??)
1st level- adds another ranged unit
2nd level - each unit gets stat increase
3rd level- another meele
4th level - adds criticalstrike and evasion to each unit
5th level - adds a captain to the drop pod with a bonus damage aura, armor aura, and ranged attack.
(Like i said, this is just an idea and suggestions for this innate ability, a couple different spells would work but this one seems pretty combined with the hero)
- First ability. Armory Adjustment
Description: The terminator can switch between what he needs for combat.
you can switch between using his power sword giving him meele attack or his storm bolter (wrist) for a ranged attack instead.
Benefits to using power sword (% chance to bash, Additional Armor and HP)
Benefits to using storm bolter (%chance to criticalstrike, Added damage, faster attack speed slightly)
(each upgrade makes the %bash or criticalstrike more, addition armor and hp more, or added damage/attack speed more for each one)
- Second Ability. Las Cannon
Fires a high powered Las Cannon shot at the target using a laser beam. Stuns the target for (X) deals (X) damage AND OR causing it to miss on attacks.
(Each upgrade makes stun a bit longer and damage a bit more.)
-Third abilitiy. Multi Melta
Terminator fires a spread of fire dealing damage to units in a cone. Causes (X) damage over time and reduces the targets armor by(X).

-Ultimate (many different things I am thinking for this but heres one) Aggressive Power Armor
- Makes the terminator larger, making him immune to spells for a short amount of time, increasing his HP regain.
or.
Whirlwind Missle Launcher
- fires rockets at all nearby heroes damaging them for (X) and pushing them off to the side (Slow effect)

theres the sketch, im not sure how much to do for damage etc because im not good with the technical balancing of them.

ok, some things... your suggesting an assault termi, then giving him reg termi weapons Razz
if you want to make him have a bunch of heavy weapons, then go with a devastator (theres already a devestator suggestion, comment on that one -but you could make your own)
melta weapons arent flamers Razz their like lasers almost >.>

he has potential, but needs to be refined

Grass is right. Melta weapons super-charge the air to create a massive beam of heat. There are no flames (except what's left of the target's flesh/equipment that didn't get vaporised might burst into flame). I think you might be thinking of 'Flamers', which are Imperium flamethrowers.

which is a flame thrower....lol

I think he meant, using the word laser flame thrower, meaning a massive beam of heat.

Close ghost. yes but multi meltas arent invisible and arent a little beam, you can even play Dawn of War II it shows fire coming off of it.

but yea just leave it at a flame thrower like imperial guardsman use or something.

But "flame thrower" implies there are flames.. which there aren't in Melta weapons. The beams are usually either blinding light or near invisible ... neither of which would be mistaken for flames of any sort.

or flame thrower by the fact that its a spread effect (like a flamethrower Razz u know... the cone shaped attack-ness)

A flame thrower isn't really a cone attack though. It's a straight line until you sweep the barrel.

i know Razz but in most games its prtrayed as a cone attack... and thats what i think he meant, but were telling him that meltas dont work like that

Hmm. Take a look at heroes in the about to be implemented forum and compare what they have with yours. I won't tell you to do anything definite, since it's your hero, but make judgments and add what you think needs to be added.

not to mention remove the "this skill or this skill" thing Razz and rethink the suggestion: your calling it an assault terminator, but then giving him all the regular terminator upgrades (heavy weapons etc)

Assault Termies are supposed to beat the crap out of anything at short range, hence thunder hammers, chain swords, flamers, you know how it goes.

Armory change...meele or ranged attack.. seems pretty spot on for a terminater in my opinion...
I'm not sure what else could possibly be done...Las Cannon....innate drop pod....flame thrower....whirlwind rocket........

An assault terminator without a name isn't exactly a good idea nor will be accepted, as he's not making any normals for now without a name.

If you really desire to make a terminator, create the salamander hero, they use master-crafted thunderhammers and are rather effective as a terminator substitute (that and the fire, LOTS AND LOTS OF FIRE)
