[Armor][Recipe]Cloak of the Shaper

Post by Glycine on Tue Jan 12, 2010 2:08 am

It's more armor. :] From the Tau, too.

This is a draft as well. The end armor will give active invisibility, though.

ItemOne:
Spoiler:
Emblem of the Wild

requires:
Runes of Warding: 150g
Mechanical Augmentationx2: 300g
Sensor Arrayx2: 300g
recipe: 500g

total: 1250g

gave:
+3 int
+6 agi
+5 str

Emblem of the Wild - [Accessory]
The Emblem of the Wild is a totem carried by all Kroot Shapers as part of their mystical beliefs. It guides their choices in battle and is potent enough to give Kroot the edge in battle against even Space Marines.

gives:
+6 Agi
+6 Str
+3 int
Canabalize

(Canabalize: Active. Consumes nearby corpses for X hp per second.)

Item Two:
Spoiler:
Shaper's Beads

requires:
Emblem of the Wild: 1250g
Spirit Stone: 1450g
recipe: 700g, 2 honor

total: 3400g, 2 honor

gave:
+11 int
+6 str
+6 agi
Canabalize

Shaper's Beads - [Accessory]

The Shaper's Beads stand as a symbol of the power the Shaper holds over a Kroot tribe, for it is he who guides their evolution and destiny at all times. However, the abilities the beads grant are not to be underestimated at any time, especially by overconfident psykers.

gives:
+12 int
+6 str
+6 agi
+100% regen
Canabalize
Mystical Feedback

(Canabalize: Active. Consumes nearby corpses for X hp per second.)
Mystical Feedback: Passive. When targeted by a spell, gain 10% of the casters int as damage.

Item Three:
Cloak of the Shaper

requires:
Shaper's Beads: 3400g, 2 honor
Flak Armor: 500g
recipe: 1200g, 4 honor

total: 5100g, 4 honor

gave:
+12 int
+6 agi
+6 str
Canabalize
Mystical Feedback
+2 armor
+2% ms
+100% regen

Cloak of the Shaper - [Armor]

The Cloak of the Shaper is the ultimate symbol of the Kroot. Non-Kroot who have been bestowed such an item will instantly command respect from any Kroot they see. In battle, individuals wearing this cloak will suddenly disappear from sight as if they were never there in the first place and then plant a fatal blow from the shadows. In the jungle, the only rule is to survive.

Gives:
+12 int
+9 agi
+9 str
+3 armor
Shape
Fieldcraft

(Shape: Passive. Nearby melee allies gain 15% lifesteal. Additionally, units gain 10% of killed unit's health, armor, and damage.)
Fieldcraft: Active. Become invisible for 15 seconds. +10% movespeed, 200 backstab damage. They have a no collision buff with all objects while invisible.

Spoiler:
Recipe consists of:

- Shaper's Beads [Accessory][Recipe]: 700 g, 2 Honor
Spirit Stone: 1450 g
Emblem of the Wild[Accessory][Recipe]: 1250 g

The Emblem of the Wild is a totem carried by all Kroot Shapers as part of their mystical beliefs. It guides their choices in battle and is potent enough to give Kroot the edge in battle against even Space Marines.

Consists of:
Runes of Warding: 150 g
Sensor Array x 2: 300 g
Mechanical Augmentation x 2: 300 g
Recipe cost: 500 g

Gives +6 Agi, +6 Str, +3 int and gives the ability to cannibalize corpses for health.

The Shaper's Beads stand as a symbol of the power the Shaper holds over a Kroot tribe, for it is he who guides their evolution and destiny at all times. However, the abilities the beads grant are not to be underestimated at any time, especially by overconfident psykers.

Gives +6 Agi, +6 Str, +9 int, 50% mana regen and two effects. Active: Cannibalize. Passive: Mystical Feedback: Whenever the holder is damaged by a spell or magic effect, 10% of the caster's intelligence is added to the attack of the holder. Effect lasts for 7 seconds and is stackable in the event multiple spells affect the same hero.

- Cloth Bindings: 450 g (It's an armor)
Cloth armor is used by many humanoid species without technology. While it lacks durability, it allows ease of movement, which can be the deciding factor in battle.

Provides 1 armor and increases movement speed by 10%.

Costs: 1200 g, 4 Honor

Provides +9 Str, +9 Agi, +12 Int, 2 Armor, Vampiric Aura (15% of melee damage done), and the ability to go invisible for 15 seconds with 10% bonus movement speed and the ability to do 200 damage when breaking Wind Walk.

is cloth bindings an armor? or is it an accesory?
and 15% is too much Razz thats more than 30 ms on most heroes, and thats what jet packs give.
maby reduce the ms to 5% and increase the cost to like 650. (cause % increased also account for bonus ms)

some suggestions for the shapers beads (or emblem... depending on what that item actually is Razz)
gives regen/str and damage?
that way the beads can give +int, regen, mana regen and damage... or something...

unless you had your own ideas for stats! then you can ignore this Razz

its not possible to detect weather damage taken comes from a spell or an attack
increase the cost of emblem of the wild...
your giving +1 int, +2str and +2 agi and the canabalize skill for just 250 gold. and saving 5 slots.
and the beads has 5 abilities, when items can only have 4 (stats all count as one ability)
other than that, looks good Very Happy i just dont see how the beads are gona transition into a WW cloak... unless it also gets the spell absorbsion skill thinger

But anti magic shell is able to detect magical damage and eliminate it solely for a set amount of damage, right?

How does the trigger work for it?

And I can just get rid of the damage for beads, it won't help that much.

ALSO one major thing I noticed.

Armor values on the armors need to be buffed. 2 armor isn't going to do anything even with reduced values on items. 7 armor doesn't even seem decent, imo, on Termi armor for tanks. The only one for whom it's good is Carni, because he has so much armor as it stands.

because anti-magic shell is hardcoded into wc3 Razz
you couldnt make it with triggers

and yeah... i could prolly buff the numbers on armor items

What can differentiate spells from normal attacks then?

I know they take two reductions, but how can we use that?

Do spells do ranged damage for the most part?

there is no way to determin damage type when a unit is damaged.
there is no 'get damage type' or 'get original damage' the only thing u get is damage dealt after reductions

u could add X damage whenever a spell is cast? or spell targets him? that would easily work and not take up an item ability

I think that will work better. Is there any way to take the intelligence of the enemy hero casting the spell and apply it as damage?

ok, can you please clean up your post a bit Razz
its really hard to follow. split the new items up into individual items, then have your final recipe after, without explaining the new items in between.
do this for the other item too.

ok, the only qualm i have is the loss of mystical feedback.

canabalize is covered by the vampiric aura... but mystical feedback is just... lost.

I would add it, but then I'd have to take out something maybe. If it doesn't hit the 4 bonus limit on an item, go ahead and readd it. Otherwise, something has to get taken out for Myst.

This item fits the Kroot Shaman perfectly. I do not see anything wrong with this item, other than the recepie consists of items not yet in the aos. This can be fixed over time but otherwise, nice work!
