Mass Effect 2
GOTY, hands down. Anyone who likes RPGs, go buy it. The Emperor demands it!
Awesome gameplay and an epic story. Alot better if you play ME1 first though.

Re: Mass Effect 2
Same thing with Dragon Age. If you get DA, you get the Dragon Age armour set in mass effect two. Btw whens return to Ostagar coming out?

Re: Mass Effect 2
I wasn't impressed with the Dragon Armor in ME2. It looked cool, but it's stat bonuses weren't anything special. I never used it. Anyway, since the Return to Ostagar got hacked and spread on the intrawebz, I read somewhere that Bioware was going back and redoing almost everything in it. So... My guess would be not for awhile.

Re: Mass Effect 2
1. Difficulty depends on what setting you have it on (and how many Mages you have)
2. It's a long ass game (w/ definate replay value), DLCs and an upcoming expansion
3. It's world and story are epic, definatley not a game for kids (my character slept with just about anything that moved, it was hilarious. Blood, gore, sex, et cetera.)

Re: Mass Effect 2
Lol if you say theres sex in DA... Its kinda sad, Idk what the one in america is like but the one here they stay in thier underwear lol. But it is an epic game, I have about 6 different characters to try out the combinations.
The creatures are a bit of a letdown, the AI isent all too smart, for one it doesnt use the emmissaries effectively enough...
*BUT*
Great graphics, awesome engine to create your own tactics, a large world (That becomes even larger if you have xbox live). That being said the expansion is coming out on the 16th of march this year. Its definately worth looking foreward too.

Re: Mass Effect 2
The fact that they're even showing that though is more than I've seen in almost any other game (except ME1 / 2, for some reason Bioware went for nudity in ME but clothed in DA:O, or GoW). Anyway... There's nothing on Live you can't get on PSN or the computer.

Re: Mass Effect 2
Every DLC that has come out for DA:O on Live has come out on PSN and the comp... The limited items were offered by the store you bought the game from, not the platform you bought it for.
Shale: Live, PSN, Computer
Warden's Keep: Live, PSN, Computer
Return to Ostagar: Live, PSN, Computer
Lion's Paw, Razor's Edge (or whatever that dagger is called), et cetera items, available on all.
And all character profiles from all platforms are uploaded to the EA website "Showcase" thing.
So... Live doesn't offer DA:O anything special.

Re: Mass Effect 2
They already have Mass Effect 3 in production. So hopefully they'll get it done and released mid or late next year. They were talking about the possibility of making games in the Mass Effect universe beyond 3 (without Shepard as the main character), so hopefully they do that. A prequal set during the First Contact War or the Rachni Wars / Krogan Rebellions (though that would be before Humans entered the galactic scene) would be awesome.

Re: Mass Effect 2
I think the cap is 25-30 right now... Raising it in the expansion, I believe. No online.
Anyway... So many games, so little time...
My checkbook is already pissed at me since I bought MAG and Bioshock 2.
Alien vs Predator: Hunter Edition (pre-ordered)
Heavy Rain (pre-ordered)
Dragon Age: Awakenings (pre-ordered)

Re: Mass Effect 2
I has teh question, DA:Awakening, do you need internet connection for it? 20 is the max level in origins w/o internet. I have started yet another character, archery is almost as overpowered as magic...
