changed targeting array:
now uses digital weapons instead of stim packs, +6 agi, +20% damage

changed sensor sweep:
(price reduced due to targeting array change)
sweep now gives nearby allies flying vision and pings all enemy heroes on the map.

Dont make the items complex, make more items Very Happy 50 simple items and 25-30 recepies is good.

heh, i dont mind the icon or the aura Razz

but.... crreeeaaattiiive Razz
and would be a pretty amazing support item Very Happy

but sadly isnt possible because of the 4 auras and stats, giving it more than 4 skills
(devition, brilliance, endurance, command, stats)

great start, but you might have to refine that a bit more.

Lol, it's not an aura. xD It's an ability, which enables two potential auras to shrink down to one skill that affects the holder of the item alone.

whiiich isnt possible
the only way i could do that is if i actually gave the item the two auras.

as a reference: the Sacred Standard's Inspiring ability that gives it a +ms, +ias, +dmg aura, is actually a command aura and endurance aura.

its not possible to give an item two auras as one ability
unless items can have spellbooks, ill look into that

edit: lmao i just realised that the fury of chaos ability isnt a team aura... XD i fail
either way, it still has 5 abilities.

But Sacred Standard also has an active effect which grants two completely different buffs from the passive effects of the item. This is what I'm trying to get at.

Stats, 2 auras, and an active buff spell.

yes, but the item itself has 3 abilities, which are given in the form of (4) real abilities.

your item has 4 abilities (stats, devotion, mana, fury) which are given in the form of (5) real abillities.

i cant do that.
the only way to make your fury of chaos ability is by giving it a self-only command and endurance aura.

oh btw, the sacred standard active is just roar Razz
it has +stats, roar, command aura, endurance aura

Roar doesn't give armor/regen naturally... xD So why couldn't Fury be modeled after roar in some way? Just change what buffs the skill gives.

I'm not entirely sure even if I want to keep Fury, so we'll see anyway.

roar actually does give regen and armor naturally Razz its a field that wasn never used in the Ladder game XD
not to mention its an active effect Razz

however, if fury was an active effect... then i completly misunderstood you and it is possible

Err, I'll see what I can do with the list in updating it and such.

By the way, Squigs/Fex/Lizards are not too powerful towards the mid to late game, but they're not good if you want to forest at the start.

just realised that Staff of Tzeentch isnt on this list XD

and we need to do something for its power, cause its prolly the single most imba early-mid game item for int/caster heroes.

questions that should be asked:
-what items should it be made up of, now that designs is no longer in (and note: in its current form, it would be a tier 1 item recipe, because its made up of all basic items)
-what should its stats be?
-what should its active do?
-does it really need to heal, damage, buff, AND slow? all at once?


i think it should have either the force weapon or the powerweapon as a base, with item stats to represent its new base (im thinking more force weapon than power weapon).
i think that it should only do 1 of the 4 effects that it currently does (and im leaning away from the heal for some reason. imo, we can easily find another item that can provide an aoe heal cause for some reason i dont really winds of chaos as a healing skill)
i also think the active skill needs a rename (altho this isnt as necesery) cause winds of chaos as a skill already exists.

Winds of change seems quite apt for it... being that it is the Staff of Tzeentch, also, having it heal allies and harm enemies isn't that odd, since that's something Tzeentch would do, make something useful but harmful.

Staff of Tzeench should be in the same thread I made that cleave item along with the staff... Hang on..

But the int gain should be toned down, and in place of that give it more mana regen so it isn't hopeless late... I think numbers should be kept the same for winds though.

its supposed to be a mid-game item, and the 3.2 mana *aura* works well in that general area.

so im thinking:

takes:
-Force weapon (2055g)
-Psychic Link (1000g)
-Mark of Tzeentch (550g)
-Recipe (300g, 3 honor)
(total: 3905, 3 honor)

gave:
-5 damage
-12 int
-1 str
-1 agi
+1 mana/second
-20 manaburn

Staff of Tzeentch [weapon]

"story"

Gives:
- 10 Intelligence
- 5 All Stats
- Insight
- Winds of Change

(Insight: Aura. Gives +3.2 mana regen to nearby allies)
(Winds of Change: Active. Heals allies and damages enemies by 215)

(alternitavely (wish i could spell), i could relate the damage/heal to Tzeentch's favourate number, cause i know gods have a number)
(also, if people insist, the enemy damage could be a manaburn to work with the forceweapon base)

Instead of a health heal, make it heal mana and burn enemy mana. I mean, Tzeentch doesn't deal in corporeal things, it's all about the warp and magical power. Tzeentch's favorite number is nine, by the way.

Nah, the price should stay pretty high. Imagine Arcane Ring from a distance, except it also mana burns. Tanks and carries would love and hate an item like that, since it keeps them at full steam attacking but would also cripple them. You can make it heal proportional to the user's intelligence, if that's satisfactory.

If you wanted to keep the same price and not make it into a early-mid support item, the healing option will keep your price up, enough.

That said, I do support a version that doesn't heal (as much, at least).

no, its fine with just the mana.

what i think is needed then:
generic aoe mana buff item
generic aoe healing item
(this staff would be an upgrade of the mana buff item)
