Remake Forum Rules
Threads that go into this forum:
-Heros
-Abilities
-Items
Any thread posted in this forum need a prefix that tells what the thread is remaking: [HERO], [ABILITY], or [ITEM]
Remakes on heroes should be *actual* hero remakes. Hero 'remakes' that dont follow the original playstyle of the hero are not classified as remakes
(for example, the Tau Pathfinder remake isnt technically a remake)
If your hero 'remake' consists of only 1 or 2 skill changes, post them individually as ability remakes.
Please Note:
Remake threads are a discussion
If you post a remake suggestion looking for a review, i probably belongs in the hero suggestion forum

Re: Remake Forum Rules
Err, what? The Pathfinder remake was a remake. He no longer has a godly low-cd, snipe nuke, can't jump any more, and revolve more around his towers and darkstar warhead as an area denial ult.
The original playstyle of pathfinder was based off false assumptions and not at all on an actual Pathfinder, so that's why it's a remake.
And one last thing, remakes should generally be geared towards individualization and characterization of named characters, usually.

Re: Remake Forum Rules
Pathfinder 'remake' is a whole new hero. His skillset, playstyle, role, etc. Are completly different.
While the new pathfinder uses the same name and model. Its not the same hero.
While Karandras or Autarch follow the same role and playstyle, and their skillsets are relativly the same.
Other heroes that wouldn't classify as 'remakes' would be Necron lord, it your lord of change.

Re: Remake Forum Rules
Ehhh. It just seems unneeded.
What you're suggesting as remakes are essentially just a new coat of paint, with new numbers and same concept. Not all heroes are set in stone, you know this, because most of them were not built according to the original concept in TT.
Also, if people have another take on a hero, there's no reason to say, "Even though your skills and details are authentic and they represent the character well, we already have a hero in the game with this name, so go make a new hero with that skillset, despite the fact that NO OTHER INDIVIDUAL fits your skillset."
If that's the impression you're giving, BULLSHIT! If not, please enlighten me.

Re: Remake Forum Rules
this is why i dislike having generic units become heroes.
im also not saying that 'new heroes' wont make it in if they are good enough, but they shouldnt go into remakes.
because, quite obviously, pathfinder/necron lord made it in, replacing an existing hero

Re: Remake Forum Rules
Well, not all significant units are named, sadly.
That said, what exactly are you saying? Why does a remake need to adhere to a playstyle we originally made and can willingly change?
Define what exactly is a hero remake, rather than saying what isn't a remake.

Re: Remake Forum Rules
>.> a remake is not what a non-remake is?
just a note: if the skillset is the same, itll prolly be classified as a remake, even if the role/playstyle has changed a bit
