[recipe][weapon] Bonesword

takes:
-power weapon (1500g)
-psychic link (1000g)
-metabolic enhancements (950g)
-recipe (900g, 2 honor)

total: 4350g, 2 honor


gave:
+15 damage
+6 int
+200 hp

Bonesword - [Weapon]

"A weapon often found on Hive Tyrants, the
Bonesword expands the synapse range of Tyranid
creatures and spurs lesser Tyranids to fight
harder."

gives:
+15 damage
+10 int
Catalyst

(Catalyst: Passive, aura. Nearby creeps get 50 hp and 2% ias and ms for each 10% missing hp)

Psychic Link: 1000 g
The Bonesword is a weapon often wielded by Hive Tyrants in special occasions where the Tyranid presence is greater. It expands the synapse range of the Tyrant, enabling it to better control the innumerable swarms of Gaunts around it. In addition to providing greater physical power, it also spurs the creatures around it to fight harder as they near death, making the Tyrants invaluable to the collective organism that is the hive mind.
Provides the following bonuses:
7 Intelligence
15 damage
Catalyst: As units around the user suffer damage, they are compelled to fight harder and faster. For every 10% damage suffered by a unit, it gains 10% damage and attack speed as a buff.

being a tyranid fan i feel that this is not to close to the actual weapon and at the same time i understand that it could be OP if it was. I dont understand the reasoning behind the int bonus but whatever. I would have suggested that it gives a damage bonus and like 12% crit chance for 1.5x damage to represent the armor ignorance from a real bonesabre in TT

well, the previous edition of the Tyranid dex, which i assume was what gly had when he designed this, had the bonesword with the following effects:
wearer is perminantly under the effects of catalyst
a successful psychic test would extend the catalyst effect to every squad within 6 inches

ok that explains the catalyst. then does the aura effect the hero carrying the item?
and if not could give it to him but tone down the bonuses to like 4% or something

but that doesnt explain where the int bonus comes from

bonesword does not affect the hero... altho it prolly should considering what it did in TT... and would also make it more weapon-esque

and it gives int cause of the psychic link Razz

but also, i think, its cause of the psyker nature of the weapon's effects
if gly decides to answer this, he could prolly tell you for sure tho Razz

Ahem. 50 hp for each 10% missing hp. Unlike Talon, this is exactly the scenario I outlined. And it's blatantly imba. >>

And unecessary... We dont need more items >_> perhaps outline what we need, such as, maybe, less carry weapons?

But is this item worth it? 4k for 15 damage, 10 intel, and an aura which doesn't benifiet the hero. (Unless it is made to affect summons like nec warriors, etc.) Seems that I could just get two bionics and just chill for the rest of the game with that cash xD
