Everyone but Grass is done. Should be able to start Saturday.

I just need to find where I put the map. Doing it during the game would be a pain in the ass.

Didn't know who else was finished, although was referring to future game sessions if we all happen to die Razz

The psychic wards placed on a rogue psyker when they're caught makes them act as psychic lightning rods (thus why Inquisitors keep them around on the battlefield) ... which means they're more likely to get fried by friendly and enemy psyker powers (thus why I said having a Sanctionite and a Penitent is a bad idea) ... the Sanctionite's powers have the same chance of being drawn to the Penitent as the enemy's do. Also, the Penitent doesn't have any less of a chance of rolling Perils as Sanctionite, so you could still also blow yourself and everyone around you up (granted they do have a higher ability to dissipate excess energies).

Hmm... I should totally open the Radical Handbook >.>

A bit of dark psyker powers are allways fun... Considering that you dont need to be a psyker to learn sorcery

Sorcery falls solely in the realm of Chaos ... practicing, or even knowing the dark rituals required earns you an instant death sentence should you be discovered by an Inquisitor ... and then there's the chance a daemon may just emerge from the Warp and devour you for the fun of it.

Anyway, as for Bound (Rogue) Psykers;

Forbidden Lore (pick any two) as basic
Talents: Dark Soul, Insanely Faithful, Flagellant
Corruption: 10+1d10 + one Malignancy

Inquisitors who use sorcery (fight fire with fire and such) are branded as Heretics and hunted down. So what would make an Inquisitor's Acolyte (which are expendable) any different?

Re: Dark Heresy

Of course radicals often do this and still get away with it..Of course they don't use these things in public, and the whole puritan vs radical is an entire war in itself.

If a radical is going to be using Sorcerous things. He'll do it far away from others, or have his acoyltes (His expendables) do it. Afterall there are many tales of radicals using Daemonhosts, using possessions of the damned, and various other things that one should not touch, let alone look at.

The only way I can believe that would happen, is if the acoyltes are being lead by a Radical and he is basically tricking them or getting them to do the acts for him.

Of course I have reason to believe the one leading us is puritanical, but then one can never tell one's true allegiance till it's to late afterall.

Slaanesh influences. Just remember that getting caught using it will bring the full Inquisitorium down on you like a warhammer(pardon the pun)

Re: Dark Heresy

Post by Mortis on Sat Feb 12, 2011 12:00 pm

The problem tends to be:

There are thousands of inquisitors, most of whom operate alone.

Radicals, while they can be branded heretics if it suits the lord inquisitors or those in charge, are usually tolerated as long as they produce results and dont do things too far out of line.

That being said: Inquisitors need ALOT of support to declare another herectis, as otherwise the other will simply reply in kind, and whoever is left alive is assumed to be in the right half the time.

Most inquisitor's, as their career progresses, tend towards the radical, due to the effective means available from taking demon weapons to use them on the enemy, and ancient grimoirs so as to better combat the daemon. Inevitably, unless the inquisitor's life is cut tragically short, do they become a radical, or worse.

Torquemada Coteaz declares Inquisitors Extremis Diabolus all the time. Razz
But he's on the other side of the galaxy.

Anyway, all it takes is one Puritan with enough power to discover you ... and you're boned.
Or an ambitious colleague who sees you as a stepping stone ... and you're boned.
Or you piss of someone who just wants you dead, so they report you ... and you're boned.

And making pacts with daemons is extremely dangerous in itself. And, I don't agree with most Inquisitors becoming heretical Radicals (note: not all Radicals are heretics). I don't think the majority of the Imperium's thousands of Inquisitors are stupid enough to believe they can fight Chaos by using its own tools. Every time anyone even thinks about Chaos, it gives them a sliver of power. Mortals give the Chaos Gods their power. So using the tools of Chaos is self-defeating.

i said most inquistors become radicals, and some worse then radicals.

A radical is anyone who uses Pysker powers, based on the opinions on many puritans.

Radical is a loose term.
