however, if a unit with spell type damage (what fromundaman suggests) would haev attack_type_spells, damage_type_normal, which gets reduced by both heros magic resistance, and armor value (another reason why strafing run damage type was changed this version)

this entire post really belongs in mechanics XD

This is the post that confused me and made me think hero armor affected spell damage Razz

I actually think if you just add a small MS buff, or make the hounds have a slight slow, that it would make a good ulti (You know, he's supposed to use the hounds to track them after all, right?). Maybe a slight damage buff still, but that's not really necessary if they do spell type damage.

Anyway, let's not forget this hero either. It's a good idea, and Tau need more heroes.

oh, i ssee what i did thar, i messed up, and put spell damage, when i meant a spell type attack... attack_type_'s get reduced by armor type (hero armor, light armor, unarmored, and in this case, spells do 75% daamge to gheroes) and damage_type_'s get reduced by armor values, if there 'physical' types, like normal, or rock, or w/e

hmm, random thought... give the hounds a chance to bash the target? (not a very high one obviously, and not for very long, but he already has a slow, or maby they could reduce armor?)
