(OOC: ok this is my first character creation. Though he isn't a product of balancing I think that he could be a good counter to new heros that would be created as a result of balancing. He would be in the Order tavern as it is lacking in characters and well...it would fit him perfectly. Also I'm introducing some new races into the mix. The Zoat were a very popular race part of the Tyranid's however, they're productions has ceased and in warhammer 40k magazines published, the zoat were said to be mostly killed by the Tyranids and the survivors were then killed by the Imperium. However, here is a character who is unique, a bonus to warhammer 40k fans (older), and rly has an interesting story that compliment his skills. Plus since zoats are centuar-like...they have perfect models readily availiable. [Incomplete] Duitinus - Zoat Survivor Icon_biggrin)

Name: Diutinus (name is from latin...meaning: lasting a long time, enduring, long-lived)

Stats:

Str: 22 + 4
Agi: 14 + 1.4
Int: 19 + 2

Story (complilation of various sources): Diutinus is the last known Zoat Survivor. The Zoat race were genetically engineered by the Tyranids who sought to use them primarily as slaves. However, Zoats had an affinity for fighting and their genetic build made them natural great warriors and thus were implimented early on in warrior-corps of the Hive Fleets thus leaving some to beleive that they were intentionally bred as pawns. These centuaroid creatures were naturally a psychic race and thus did not fully develop under Tyranid dominance. They are born large with two powerful arms however, lack oral organs and thus relied on telepathic powers and ability to assimilate cultures upon contact to communicate. Eventually however, when the Tyranids realized that they could not fully control the centuaroid race and the Zoats themselves realized that they excelled within their given confines a war broke out. Every Zoat rose to rebel against their pitiless enslaver, however the outcome was enevitable and the remainders of the Zoat race fled from the Hive Fleets. The survivors were amonst the first Tyranic organisms to reach the Eastern Fringe and though diplomatic in nature, the Imperium of Man soon labled them "Xenos Horrillis" shortly after their arrival. This sparked the violent Zorastra-Atilla war in the 38th millennium, which lasted fifty years, culminating in the destruction of the last of the Zoat ships and all evidence of them. It is assumed that the Zoats have been purged from the galaxy, however, one had survived the great tragedy. Known as the most outspoken of all Zoat's, Duitinus had made a substantial amount of contacts within the Imperium of Man during the short time of peace and thus was able to conjure up a resistance within the Imperium's own society with influential leaders and nobles doing all they could for the Zoats. But once again, the unfortunate race was doomed and Duitinus lost the war despite his efforts. However, he found fortune in his friends who had been able to convince the Emperor to keep Duitinus as an advisor (out of the public's Eye of course). And thus is Duitinu's existence now, once a slave turned leader, he has been reduced to a slave once again but this time, with him he carries the burden of last of his race, and serving the man who ordered his race's execution. Such is Duitinus, the unfortunate but alas, only...Zoat survivor.

Innate: Diplomatic Disposition
Description: The claims that Duitinus was the most outspoken and sociable of his race were without merit. Possessing the innate ability of telepathy and absorbing the culture of any he makes contact with, Duitinus enhanced ability was deemed the "Diplomatic Disposition."
Effect: With his enhanced ability, Duitinus can disarm any opponent before they do him any harm and it allows Duitinus insight into his opponents surroundings as well. Reduces the opponents armor by .5/1/1.5/2/2.5/3 and increases his vision by 100 units per two points in his inate starting at 100.

Skill 1: Zoat Ferocity [rename]
description: Though used for communicating with other races and other diplomatic tasks, the Zoats were proficient fighters, said to be savage, ruthless and ferocious in battle.
effect: Duitinus uses his strong yet surprisingly nimble body while exerting an unatural strength that could only be engineered by the ferocious nature of the Hive Mind. Each [arrow] (can be subbed out depending on model) thrust out with this power does 15/30/45% of strength in pure damage. Orb effect. 10 for each use.

skill 2: Power Fist
description: There was a reason the Zorastra-Atilla war lasted Fifty years. The Zoat were naturally psychic and through honing of this strong affinity for the mysterious power, the Zoats were able to channel their psychic powers into a force realeased through
effect:

skill 3: Gallop
description: With the centauriod figure as his body, Duitinus is able to stride as fast as a moderized vehicle. Note: The horse is on a comeback.
effect: His hoofs and four heavily muscled legs are able to carry Duitinus through heavy strides which increases his speed exponentially for a short time. speed increase is up to grass [Incomplete] Duitinus - Zoat Survivor Icon_smile

ultimate: Survivor's Guilt
effect: When Duitinus's situation stresses him out to a point where his emotions overcome him, Duitinus releasing all of his bottled emotions's in one Psychic burst. All caught within the 600 AoE spell feels the burden of the last survivor of the Zoat's and is not only slowed by 10/15/20% and (either has its reduced by .3/.5/1 armor per second for 12 seconds, or take 40/55/75 damage per second for 12 seconds)

btw found a model but he might be alittle...idk it didnt seem to fit but its the coolest centuar model (out of two) that I could find on the hive model

I like the concept.

About the power fist skill, what will it do? My suggestion would be damage and knock back based on strength and possibly some other effect from the psychic aspect of the attack.

ok, first thoughts (these tend to be harsh XD dont take it that way)
str is too high, story way to long... is he ranged? it seemed so when u said arrow, ranged str heros are... iffy Razz (says the one who has like 5 melee ints in his map)

innate: it says disarm the target, but it reduces armor? also, heores have the max vision range of 1800 during the day, so the increased vision doesnt work so well
my ideas: make it reduce their attack, or stop them from actually attacking, and isntead of increasing his own vision, give him vision over the area that the target is.
forocity: i like it, even if it is a rip of silencers glaives ;P (thought, if hes doing pure damage, the proposed armor reduction of his innate seems kinda useless)
powerfist: it needs a rename. cause power fist is definatly the name of the weapon Razz suggestion: psychic fist, and make it do what wadnerer suggests, a melee ranged, aoe, knockback and damage based on int/str
galop: works
ult: buff the slow. and waht does it reduce by 1 per second? (thought: make it slow enemies, and have them miss attacks (after thoguht, no tahts useless if u do my propsed inate idea), or reduce armor.

it goes from first impressions to more in-depth thoughts towards the end XD

lolz i forgot to add...fail on my part.

Yes I intended damage...but idk about the push back...i had planned a bit of stun (but it might work). And that psychic ability would be nice, something that go along with his innate mayb? Idk waiting for grasshoppert till i change.

I agree with Grass on the innate. IMO you should change it to a disable (Kind of like Lib's ulti, but not as long.). Also, the damage on his ulti, if you end up going with that, seems really high. I mean, at level 3 it would do 900 damage. This is for a Str hero...

another thought on the ult, make it like an aoe doom or something. or a slow/silence if you dont want it doing too much damage

and dont forget fromundaman, that its over 12 seconds, so alot of that is negated by regen, and its *alot* less scary than burst damage

Ferocity seems potentially too good IMO. Path's pure dmg attack already rapes, and it's dist x a percent of int. If you make it do pure dmg based on STR, you want to make it a smaller number, since buying STR items and having High STR shall make him hard to kill already, doubly so for being ranged. If you make it bring up his damage and do pure damage as well, he could very well become a hero killer/ranged tank/anti-caster (due to the ulti and fist.).


Also... it works since what? Gah... you cut yourself off mid-sentence! Is it 3 times his int or his opponent's?
Also, if he's supposed to be a diplomat, shouldn't he have a fair amount of int (maybe at the cost of lower agi and maybe not incredible STR?)?

He's a diplomat but remember he is also a Zoat. Ok ferocity damage = 50% of str.

And psynic fist would be good if it was 2 times his opponents int.

actually, i would wanna make the fist based on his own int, so they have some options on how to build the hero...

and yeah, ferocity needs to be carfully balanced... cause for this guy. cause the str carries are always difficult to do... specially cause hes ranged -.-

were zoats technologically advanced?

so its:
innate: remove their attack, and give vision over them for... lets say 2.75/3.5/4.25/5/5.75/6.5 seconds?
first: toggle skill, deals 20/30/40/50% of his str as pure damage (note: altho that makes less sense since hes somehow adding his str to his weapon...)
second: melee ranged stun/knocback + int based damage
third: active ms increase
ult: aoe slow + silence (note: will it do damage? i dont think its necessary)

Looks good, expt u can deal with the first skill. And yes they were, they had conshell like ships. And this is 40,000 AD were talking about -_-

haha ive read over this and im jsut curious fluff wise that wiki section said that the hive mind stopped the zoats from developing psychicly so im curious as to how he has such potenet psychic powers haha Razz just seems after years of being oppressed psychically they wouldnt realy have any idea how to hone their psychic skills Razz that being said i think a rnaged str would be fun so

innate: works as grass proposed it
skill 1: not realy if u think about it they were still made by nids and used as a good portion of theri army so lets look at it as perhaps they developed bio-weps of their own ( str as damage)
skill 2: dont call it psyonic fist make it based off of the fact that they were fierce warrior so fiercei ndeed to be used in the forntlines along with nids cause as i stated i dont think theyd be so advanced psychically speaking lol
skill 3: could work i jsut feel its kinda bland lol so maybe liek a rush in a straight line doing damage to hit units and pushing back
ult: even though i stated they dont have much psychic ability i think this could work as kind onf an unitentional release of psychich energy since tehy really have no control so just his grief overcome him

and as for the attack question id say use hydras missile kinde looksl iek a bio weapon
