With all the big changes coming up in the map, and other posts calling for items or other requests, I believe it would be timely to have an evaluation of every single hero implemented to this point. [Sounds intense. O:]

While most heroes are generally fine, there are balance issues present in the occasional hero.

Essentially, it'll be a place to talk about how each hero plays, what its weaknesses and strengths are, and what should be done (or not) to make the hero balanced. Plus, by having this discussion around one central post, it'll be easy to organize and compile what changes need be done.

The core of this plan is to have a database of heroes which we could go through easily, instead of having to go into the game.


First off, is anyone even interested in this time-consuming task?

Second, would it be faster to go through heroes by Tavern or individually?

This is a great idea Alanine.

As we do this I think we should gradually convert the heroes' abilities to stat scaling ones; This is in the map direction\road map topic.
Does it make sense for a very high strength character like the war boss to deal almost no damage with his melee based abilities after everyone is level 15+?
A lot of problems like this one can be easily fixed with scaling stats. And it would keep the game fun from level 1 - 25.

I'm very interested in this, but I have so much coding to do for our map and I work 6 days a week and have some college coming up. So, I'm not going to be able to help with this project as much as I'd like, but I'll still try to quickly mention things that come to my mind.

Honestly, I'm not that great at coming up with heroes or their abilities. Grasshopper and Fromundaman are real geniuses when it comes this; so I'd like to hear their thoughts on this project idea.

Sounds good. I also suggest by tavern, though you may want to actually start with Khaine, since he is the one in the most dire need of changes.
