Imperial Commissar
Page 2 of 3 • 1, 2, 3
Commissar Yarrick Of the Imperial Guard
Commissar Yarrick
Fearless leader of the Imperial Guard's Black Templars.
strength
range (I am thinking close range like 400 or less)
Innate ability
Medallion Crimson
A medal awarded for soldiers who have suffered horrific injuries and not lost their will to fight. If Yarrick's hp would go to 0 it is set to 1% saving him from a blow that would be deadly.
cost 50 manna to activate (if manna is too low the this does not activate)
Get in there!!
Commissar grabs the closest unit to him and throws them into the fray. ability targets one unit stunning with the force of the blow. If no units are close then Yarrick will volunteer himself to fight.
500 range
1 50 damage .5 sec stun. Thrown unit is vulnerable taking 15% more damage
2 100 damage 1 sec stun
3 150 damage 2 sec stun
4 200 damage 2.5 sec stun. vulnerability is reduced to 10%
120 manna
Motivational Speech...
executes a friendly creep to increase attack speed of himself and those around him by 7/10/15/20 aoe of 600
50 manna
Glory or death!!
The Commissar never backs down
4/6/8/10 armor boost
80 manna
Bale Eye
Commissar's bionic eye that incorporates a laser this fearsome look demoralizes all who oppose him.
Reduces attack power of those demoralized by 20/25/30 for 15 sec at a cost of 200 manna

Re: Imperial Commissar
I like this, though his ulti seems too weak, and Get In There! is already the same thing as Big Mek's Shokk Attak Gun more or less.
Personally, I'd love for him to summon some Imperial Guards, but that's just me.
Also, maybe give some kind of effect to 'Glory or Death!!'?
EDIT: I also don't think you can do 7/10/15/20. I'm pretty sure the increase has to be by the same # or % per level.

Re: Imperial Commissar
nope, giving awkward number leveling is perfectly fine, unless i need to trigger the effects, like deals 100/174/1723/1883 trigger damage... thats more of a bitch to code, but still possible
no offense intended, but i like the current commisar suggestion by zebiolizard in the dev forum...
however, i *really* like the medalion crimson... does yarrick actually have that in TT? cause i might add that to his skillset, and finish up that hero

Re: Imperial Commissar
I think that all you really need to change is:
Get in there!! - It really is too close to Big Mek's skill.
Glory or Death!! - Maybe bump down the boost down to 2/4/6/8. Then again, if this
skill is only for a set time limit, your numbers aren't terrible. Just
keep in mind that item armors will already offer a LOT of bonus. Too
much more would be OP and overkill at the same time.
Bale Eye - You actually need to buff this one up. I'm thinking around -25/50/75
damage and -10/15/20 attack speed. By the time you hit 16, those
numbers will still make a difference, but not enough of one to be called OP.
Other than that, he looks really cool. Props on Motivational Speech. That looks freaking sick.

Re: Imperial Commissar
oh ya he was at war with the orks for years or something. The story is somethings like he never came back from a battle they though him dead but no he is that BA. Gets stuck on a planet full of Orks for many years and it is no big deal he just shows back up on day.
And the Bale eye is to replace his own and that is the wound he got the medal for.

Re: Imperial Commissar
My thoughts for this hero:
innate: medalion crimson (as per the suggestion)
first: To the lines! (guardsmen summon)
second: Hold the Line! (adds armor and hp regen to nearby allies
third: Somery Execution (kills target ally creep to give combat boosts to naerby allies)
ult: artilary fire, go! (as per the suggestion)

Re: Imperial Commissar
Would his ult affect buildings? (Kind of like Chapter Master's)
I see him as another great pusher/lane defender.
I also think Hold the Line! should give a slightly better bonus if the unit is using the actual "Hold Position" command (at least for the guardsmen.), or maybe only give the bonus if the unit stays near/engaged to the enemy? (I just don't want it becoming a move used to retreat

Re: Imperial Commissar
that might be a good idea actually
and his ult might hurt buildings... ill decide on it
and yeah, itll order all guardsment summoned to hold position, then give more bonuses if they keep it...

Re: Imperial Commissar
its passive, everyone can deny heroes at less than 150 hp.
(i should clarify that skill, ppl seem to have problems with it)

Re: Imperial Commissar
So wait, how exactly does this skill work in general? Is it a passive for denying creeps and heroes? An active ability for killing creeps and denying heroes? A passive for when either dies/gets too low near them?
The way it was phrased, I thought it was an active skill wherein you kill a creep at any % for a buff, and also applied to heroes, which seemed ridiculous.

Re: Imperial Commissar
its a passive that activates whenever u kill an allied unit (creep/hero)
it doesnt change the denying mechanism at all, just gives him bonuses when he does

Re: Imperial Commissar
I think his passive deny should have an activatable part that costs a decent amount of mana and kills one of the summoned guardsmen instantly.
