Gly's comment about Nids and Necrons being hireables is right. but what if they were summons . Just making the suggestion that they could be summons instead of hireables just for those who want to see them in hireable role. It would be the same thing but could have a timed life or spawn in certain parts of the map and control/defend that part of it. not sure what the imperium equivilant of these would be but just a suggestion.

the thing about necron/nid hireables (i do agree they by their nature they shouldnt be) is that for the *eventual* races mode, nids and necrons will need hireables

Indeed but we need to think about possible hireables. Sure there would be the odd eldar merceneries out there, but nec's is a no-no. They are a race wanting to enslave everything not made of gauss.
As such Tyranids... Is possible, but once they run out of foes to kill they should turn on the side that spawned them... Gives you the impression of keeping a tight leash on smart beasties.
Chaos, orks, and others would be ok. Along with Imperium, SM's, and eldar on the other side.
But what about hireables available to BOTH sides, neutral hireables, with a tavern somewhere out on the map, and not in base, so they'll have unique abilities to make buying them worthwhile. They should also be cheaper.
Such as:
Mechanicus Mercs.
Imperial Mercs.
(Tyranid Hostiles?)
-A bit iffy- Dark Eldar Mercs (but if allied creeps are weak they turn on them, and join the stronger wave?)
Just an idea.
