Re: [INCOMPLETE][HERO] *Name* - Apothicary
I have a hero idea, the Apothecary Gordian, but he " is lost " at the end of Dawn of War 2
Anywho, heres a bunch of info if you decide to make him
The Apothecary's role is to serve as a field medic and bio-researcher. Along with being highly trained in medicine, they are among the elite warriors in the chapter. Apothecaries are greatly honoured within the Chapter, as they are responsible for maintaining the purity of its gene-seed. If its gene-seed were to become mutated, it could well bring the Chapter's extinction or its fall to Chaos. Their skills and equipment, when combined with the added organs and resilience of a Space Marine, allow an Apothecary to perform battle surgery with a good chance of success.
The Apothecary is well-versed in the arts of battlefield aid as well as advanced surgery, cybernetics and bio-engineering. The Apothecary must be as courageous as his fellow space marines if not more so, for he must perform his life-saving surgeries in the midst of the battlefield.
When a fellow space marine is mortally wounded, to the point where no amount of care will bring him back to life, the Apothecary tends to his side, as he prepares the space marine for death. Once dead the Apothecary extracts the gene-seed so that the Space Marine can continue to serve the emperor. Using his reductor, the Apothecary extracts the progenoid organs from the body. It is the Apothecary's duty on the battlefield to retrieve the gene-seed, as they are an essential ingredient in the transformation of a human to Space Marine.
Gordian served under Davin Thule as his personal Apothecary during the Dark Crusade on Kronus. Later, during Dawn of War II he serves aboard the strike cruiser Armageddon as the Blood Ravens' Apothecary in the Aurelia sub-sector. Gordian was responsible for putting Captain Davian Thule in stasis, after he was attacked and poisoned by a Tyranid Warrior on Calderis. When the Blood Ravens acquired the toxin to counteract the poison, with the help of Techmarine Martellus he placed Thule into a Dreadnought allowing the legendary Captain to fight again. During the final battle with the Tyranids, he is lost aboard the Armageddon above Typhon.
Where is says Dawn of War II that can be replaced with the Aurelian Campaigns, i left it there for flavor.
The fluff might be a bit out of order, the last paragraph would be the hero descript.

I'd love your idea, except for the fact that I'm writing the fluff for an Apothecary right now. ^^; That, and we don't want too many blood ravens in the game as it is.

Doh! Didn't know that, and true we do have enough blood ravens, its just that out of all the chapters, the blood ravens seem the most popular, and apothecaries are the least talked about of all the specialized units. Finding other notable apothecaries didn't work for me.

Tell me about it. xD They are very few out there, besides those in games and books. So that's why I decided to make my own chapter for an apothecary, although too much work has slowed down the process of me writing it. ._.
