Base Towers

Base Towers
as of right now, the two towers guarding the main building -when destroyed- become 'destroyed towers' that have the same life and armor, but no attack, and heal their max hp over 60 seconds. once 60 seconds have passed, they become attacking towers again, with the same life they had when the 60 seconds was up

Do creeps still target them?
(AKA will they ignore the main building to get those?)
Also, what happens when you destroy a "destroyed" tower?
Finally, I think we should playtest this change before it goes in, since it can take a while to kill a tower, and I'm afraid you could always have just 1 tower keeping them from your main building, though I could be wrong.

yeh, i planned on playtesting it *alot* before i decide if it makes it in or not
and i havnt tried that yet, but i would assume that creeps would ignore destroyed towers because its not attacking, and they are being attacked by the other alive tower
and if a destroyed tower is destroyed, it would be gone forever
edit: and i also think 60 seconds is too short... but we'll see

update, i thnk this neds to be bought...
if it hapens automatically, the team might not want to in certain siege situations, because the enemy team will get the gold every time the tower is destroyed, and the team might only want to repair them when they know that the towers can survive the 2 minuets it takes to respawn.
what im planing on doing right now is: keeping the 'destroyed tower' unit that spawns when the tower dies, but it is invincible and has the ability "rebuild tower" which then removed the inviciblity and starts reviving the tower.

Give the towers auto-cast abilities that are cast when triggered, say with the hellfire tower, theres a massive army of creeps charging, then the tower casts rain of fire?

I agree with this wholeheartedly. The splash on current towers isn't quite enough to delay the inevitable doom a team faces when creeps get to the base. There needs to be some sort of way of relieving pressure for a short period of time alone.

if we want that, the dont put it as an auto cast on the towers 
(and the towers do last a long time, and giving them the power to revive makes them that much better)

I agree with both points to be honest. The ability to revive will allow you to not have to defend your base non-stop and therefore be able to try and push back. That being said, giving the towers an AoE skill would be cool.
