Well if you really want the assassins, I suggest that they are powerfull enough to attack and solo a hero for a hefty price, they have a skill that enables them to only be attacked by the target hero, they can be seen but not stopped.

Once they get to the hero, he can fight. If he wins he is weakened. If he loses the assassin *swollows a pill* to "prevent capture and thus interrorgation" or just simply dissapear, making the hireable unable to push, or kill creeps. Unless the assassin has a splash or aoe attack of some sort while attacking the hero.

If the hero bails from the fight and back into the main base/outpost the assassin will patiently wait untill the hero removes itself from Truesight Aura.

(Just make the assassin unable to enter outposts or bases (apart from allied) in a certain aoe, like a debuff.)


Heck, this would be a pain to code but thats my general idea.

What happens if the Assassin walks into a bunch of neutral creeps? Or the hero appears on the opposite side of the map?

It should not be able to solo heroes, though.

Faire, I don't know if you realized this, but the point of an assassin is to kill an individual. Anything less is considered failure, which is why your concept is dicey.

It's just seeming to be an overglorified hireable who would only help those who have honor in excess, not those who truly need it.

And I'm sorry you take constructive criticism as DIEDIEDIEDIEDIE. xD
