Space Marine

So, any of you played the demo yet? <_< It's fucking awesome, to me.

But, fuck the Ultrasmurfs.

And, I don't know how I feel about a squad of Ultramarines, or any chapter for that matter, tearing through a horde of Bloodletters. Bloodletters are ... beastly, atleast in fluff, I can't recall their TT stats. They're Daemons with swords possessed by other Daemons! Their leader, Skulltaker, hunts Grey Knights for fun. So ... yeah. We'll see how that turns out.

For some reason, playing it on hard makes it play out like it really would. I mean a charging nob will butt fuck you if you just trade blows with it. You have to use a bit of tactics to get it (or just use fury mode). So blood letters probably won't be torn through like boyz are. Also, it IS a space marine captain you play as. Also, you won't be just using a chainsword on them, since you get a power axe even in the demo and the real game will let you eventually get a thunder hammer.

<_< And as for the whole squad tearing through bloodletters, dawn of war 2 says hi with 4 man team tearing through erreything.

But they had a Deathwatch consultant in DoW 2.

And they never fought anything that epic, not that I remember anyway.

Some 'Nids, but they're squishy.
Maybe the Hive Tyrant, but you had Davian Thule in Venerable Dreadnought mode for that.

And "Retribution" was garbage ... so, I disregard it entirely.

<_< For Vanilla Dow2, it was carnifexs, zoanthropes, and yea hive tyrants. Chaos rising, bloodletters were the basic daemon units. They get bitch slapped pretty easily. You fight blood crushers also. The end game boss is a Great Unclean One, which the squad goes to fight alone while the rest of the chapter holds off the rest of the chaos forces.

Venerable Dreadnought > everything Tyranid. 'Nuff said.

Chaos Rising / Retribution = Garbage.

Though when they beat the Great Unclean One, didn't they have a Daemonhammer?
I really didn't like how they portrayed the GCO... They're supposed to be big, fat, happy monsters that just want to be friends ... and maybe infect the galaxy with pandemics.

But that's semantics.

If I remember correctly, the GCO in the game was angry and generally unpleasant. Very unlike Nurgle. And since GCO are carbon copies of Nurgle, it doesn't make sense.

"Chaos Space Marines are essentially equivalent of an actual Space Marine in power." ... Really? Epic Fail. I didn't know Chaos Space Marines weren't real Space Marines.

Bloodletters are WAYYY too weak in that video. They should be more dangerous than the CSM in melee ... but he almost gets raped by the CSM yet just walked through the Bloodletters.
